Case Study #2:
Sunset Gardens’ Website SEO

The Process

I conducted an in-depth SEO audit and overhauled the sitemap, rewriting page titles, meta descriptions, and on-page copy for priority keywords like “Las Vegas wedding venue,” “all-inclusive wedding packages,” and “garden wedding Las Vegas.” I also went to work and redesigned (and built) the landing pages myself, becoming very adept in navigating Wordpress, coding, and visual design.

I collaborated with our team on the visual redesign to reflect the brand’s aesthetic — soft, elegant, and romantic — while improving navigation, image load speed, and internal linking across service pages.

Several new landing pages were created to align with top search queries and match Google Ads, including a new Frequently Asked Questions page that was SEO-optimized.

The Challenge

When I got hired as the Head of Marketing for Sunset Gardens, a long-established Las Vegas wedding venue, one of my first projects was to update our website to improve SEO performance, create a more seamless user experience for engaged couples, and provide better resources during the wedding planning journey.

The original site lacked keyword density, had limited mobile optimization, and wasn’t converting well.

The Results

Sunset Gardens now ranks on the 1st page for multiple target keywords, with organic traffic up 62% YoY.

Average time on the site increased by 37%, and we saw a 27% boost in form submissions within the first 90 days of relaunch.

Couples frequently mention the ease of navigating the site and finding relevant information.

Key Takeaways

1. SEO isn’t just technical — it’s emotional.

2. You need to create tailored content that resonates with what people are looking for, and do it in a way where they feel great about taking the next step.

3. Small on-page updates can make a big difference when combined with strong design and UX.
